Oops, Marty didn’t really know his district

September 7, 2006

There was something about the WSRE debate that has been gnawing at me the last two days. It was this quote:

Marty represents District 4. That district has three precincts: East Pensacola Heights Rec Center (35), Trinity Presb. Church (46) and Bayview Park Rec Centet (40). The Yes votes were 2006; No votes 1562. Marty didn’t even win his own district.

Who was Marty representing? Did he really ever ask his constiuents what they wanted?

You ought to correct your headline…Marty absolutely knew his district; he just chose not to listen to it.

we now have statistical data that supports what many have been saying in recent months. Marty has no interest in what his constituents think/need/ask for assistance with unless it pertains to Bayou Texar. While he is out on a crusade to save the city, his district suffers from neglect.

Sad that only 1/2 the voters of p-cola came out to vote….. and MOST of them don’t pay taxes????

Can’t we find SOMEONE to run against Marty Donovan??? As one of his constituants, I don’t feel I will ever be able to believe anything that comes out of his mouth because of the “distortions” he came out with over the park referendum! Not once did he ask for our input. Did he have his own agenda?? After all, he is a realtor with nothing to gain with a not-for-profit park!
