Richard Hawkins joins BSOC

August 16, 2006

UWF economics professor Richard Hawkins has joined the Better Save Our City (SC).

We consider Dr. Hawkins a key building block for BSOC. To be a better Save Our City, we’ve got to have a better economist than the old SOC. We think we have a winner in Dr. Hawkins. He heads the Venture Capital Forum and is a Pensacola Chamber board member. He has not problem offering free cookies at meetings.
The first task for the BSOC economist Richard Hawkins is to study the flawed SOC economic analysis by retired economics professor C.C. “no free cookies” Elebash of the economic study done by the economist Rick Harper of the University of West Florida HAAS Center.

Any disagreements will be decided by a 100-yard dash.

Yeah, he’s qualified and all, but to compete with C.C., he’d better know how to use an abacus.

  2. Courtney Says:

How are you going to find a place better than the Senior’s center to have your meetings?

SOC – 1 BSOC-1 (1 pnt awarded for the cookies)

  3. Rick Outzen Says:

Places under consideration: Oar House, Atlas, NY Nicks, Paradise Bar & Grill

  4. Richard Hawkins Says:

Rather than attacking CC’s economic analysis, I thought I would hit his unconvential punctuation habits.

It is win at all cost, right?
