Early voting will be offered at each of these locations Monday through Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Early voting will begin Monday, August 21st and end Saturday, September 2nd. (Please note that early voting will not be offered on Sundays). Early voters will cast their ballots on our new iVotronic touch screen voting machines, and can choose any one of the three sites.

Another option for voters is to cast an absentee ballot, which can be obtained by contacting the Supervisor of Elections by mail, phone (850-595-3900), e-mail (soe@escambiavotes.com), fax (850-595-3914), or by using the online form at www.EscambiaVotes.com. Requests must include the voter’s date of birth or voter ID number, and the address where the ballot should be mailed. Requests must be received no later than Wednesday, August 30.

The third option for voters is to cast their ballot at their precinct on Election Day, using either a paper ballot or a touch screen. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Anyone wishing to vote in the Primary Election must be registered to vote on or before August 7, 2006. Changes in party affiliation must also be completed by that date.

I assume this will include the CMP ballot initiative. I wonder if city residents will be able to vote on the initiative if they go to one of the other two locations for early voting. Have you heard anything about this?

  2. The CMP question will appear on the ballot of any City of Pensacola resident who is a registered voter. This applies to any method a voter chooses to cast a ballot — early, absentee, or at the precinct on Election Day. So a City voter may go to any of the 3 early voting locations to cast their ballot, which will included the CMP question.

    Thanks David.

  4. WanderingHoo Says:

Thanks David. I figured so, but glad to see that will be the case. I hope the turnout keeps you and your staff busy.

  5. No problem. I’d love nothing more than to be swamped due to high voter turnout throughout the county.
